Card Game Activities
Pokemon Raid Battle!
Battle in this fun yet difficult format for the Pokémon TCG. Test your deck and try to defeat the raid boss and earn a Promo Pack for participating! Pokémon decks available for purchase, for any level of player (beginner or pro).
Pokemon Trick or Treat!
All ages welcome, recommended ages 6-12.
Come take a break in the game room and relax with Pokemon Halloween themed coloring pages, word searches, and more! Any participants will receive a Pokemon BOOster pack! Free to join, available during all hours of the convention hall floor.
On-the-spot Magic Spooky Chaos Draft
Stop by the tabletop room to sign up for a draft. We will fire as soon as we have enough people signed up for a Chaos Draft! Players will be using the newest set Duskmourn, plus Crimson Vow and Midnight Hunt to draft and build a deck. Players will receive booster and promo pack prizing and get to take all their cards home! – Additional cost for packs to participate will apply.
Magic the Gathering: Learn to Play!
Our Learn to Play sessions are designed to be engaging and accessible. Our friendly instructors will guide you through the basics, including how to build your deck, understand the rules, and develop winning strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts, learn a new game, and dive into the vibrant community of MtG players.
Magic the Gathering: Open Play All Weekend!
Open Play is the perfect opportunity to bring your favorite decks, test new strategies, and engage in epic battles with fellow players. The open play format allows for casual and competitive matches, making it an ideal setting for players of all experience levels.
On-Demand Commander Pods
Jump into the action with our On-Demand Commander Pods! For just a $5 buy-in, you can join a Commander pod whenever 4 players sign up. The winner of each pod will receive 4 booster packs of Magic: The Gathering.
Format: Bring your own 100-card deck that adheres to the standard Commander rules. Decks must be singleton, with no duplicates outside of basic lands, and must contain only cards within the chosen Commander’s color identity.
Available all weekend long, so whenever you’re ready to play, we’ll get a pod going!
On-Demand Duskmourn Drafts
Immerse yourself in the chilling world of Duskmourn, the latest horror-themed, standard-legal Magic: The Gathering set. For a $20 buy-in, you can participate in an on-demand draft that will fire as soon as 8 players sign up.
Format: Draft your deck, keep what you pull, and battle it out! One pack per player will be added to the prize pool. The top players will be rewarded as follows:
1st Place: 5 packs
2nd Place: 2 packs
3rd Place: 1 pack
These drafts will be running all weekend, so grab your spot and get ready to draft whenever you’re ready to play!

Card Game Tournaments
One Piece TCG Beginner Friendly Starter Deck Tournament
Saturday at 1:30 pm
Format: Starter Deck. Deck Building Not Required
Make sure to check out our One Piece learn-to-play schedule if you are new to the game! No need to bring your own deck, one is included in the ticket price and you will be able to hop into the tournament at 1:30pm on Saturday. Winner will receive a special prize and participants will receive some goodies too!
Additional cost for starter deck to participate will apply
Kiri-ai: The Duel Tournament
Sunday at 1:30 pm
You can learn the game in a few minutes and start playing this simple two-player samurai dueling game. Demos will be held before the event start time, each session should last 5-10 minutes. The tournament is free to join, with the winner receiving a gift card that can be used in-store or on our website!

Over the last year, you have battled your way through Planet Gaming League’s Gym Challenges! At Planet Anime 2023 and Planet Comicon 2024, you powered through battles, trivia, and safari trials. Only the strongest and wisest were able to walk away with a Qualifier Pin and the right to claim a place among the Pokemon Pros!
And now it’s time to let loose!
The Elite Four will be at Planet Anime 2024 accepting qualified challengers! Beware! These Trainers have been given the go-ahead to shift into overdrive and challengers will have to lock in their most trusted Pokemon team during each challenge run. Only those who can muster all the courage and strength to carry their team through this Elite Gauntlet can stake a claim as a Planet Gaming League Pokemon Champion!
So, gear up your Nintendo Switch and bring your Pokemon Scarlet/Violet squad to Planet Anime to see if you have what it takes to go the distance!
Only those that qualified will be able to battle for the grand prize! Challengers that do not have a qualifier pin can still take on The Elite Four to test their skills.
