SOME FAQ’s

  • Does my pass cover all events?
    • We are offering free events and activities, but some will cost extra entry fees for participation. See event details for more information. Paid events typically require using sealed products and also include bonus prizing for participants and winners, so you’ll get some product out of your ticket purchase!
  • What kind of experience do I need to have?
    • We are offering events of all experience levels! Whether you’ve just heard about the One Piece Card game today, or have been playing since Romance Dawn. Our gaming experts are offering demos for multiple board games and trading card games all weekend.
  • What do I need to bring?
    • That depends on what you want to do! Check out our full program offering. Most events do not require you to bring any supplies — those will be provided by Level One or included in entry fees, if applicable. If you want to play Commander for Magic: The Gathering, we highly recommend bringing your own deck. There will be some available to borrow while supplies last, as well as some preconstructed decks for purchase.
  • How do I check out a game from the game library?
    • You can check-in with one of the Planet Anime KC volunteers in the tabletop room. You will need a form of valid ID, which will be returned once the game is brought back. The library will be open all weekend while the Tabletop Gaming room is open. Click here to see the list of games that will be available for the weekend.
  • How many copies of each game do you have? How long do I have to wait to get the games I want?
    • There is only one copy of most games. Games that have multiple copies are noted in our Board Game Library If a game you wanted is already checked out, as a volunteer if you can request it on hold. In the meantime, there is a large range of games that are quick to learn and play as a filler!
  • I have 30 minutes to spare, what can I do to pass the time?
    • There are lots of board games in our gaming library that can be learned and played in minutes. Oftentimes learning a new game is the hardest part. We’ll have gaming experts for select board games and trading card games to teach games quickly. Plus, we’ll be there all weekend if you want to come back and try out a full game!
