Daniel Lasker is a South African actor, filmmaker, and director known for his roles in HBO’s Raised by Wolves, BBC One’s Our Girl, SyFy’s Vagrant Queen, and the History Channel miniseries Abraham Lincoln. He also appeared in season two of Noughts + Crosses. Anime fans will recognize Lasker as Mr. 9 in season two of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece.

As a filmmaker, Lasker directed the award-winning Zimbabwean sci-fi short film The Signal, recognized as the first Zimbabwean and first Ndebele-language science fiction film. He later made his feature directorial debut with the thriller Hidden Within.
